The speed limit in Sonoyta 25 MPH. Masks are required through Sonoyta (yes, even in your car) border entry. Please have your reservation info for Peñasco, proof of residence, or
Mexican citizenship ID on hand. This was confirmed last evening by the mayor of Sonoyta, as well as the group of demonstrators that had been blocking the road and who are still in negotiations on steps to strengthen the healthcare system.
Please note: As per the request of Sonoyta, visitors are asked to proceed through town and to your final destination in Puerto Peñasco. Thanks!
