You may have heard that January and February are not the best months to travel to Peñasco but if you have never been in these months you are missing out! The next couple of months is Whale and Dolphin season, you can go out and see these magnificent creatures up close. It is also not uncommon to see a school of dolphins out in front of the houses. Many times we've seen them out in front, gotten on the kayaks, and gone out to play with them.
Yes, it is true that the water is cooler--about as warm as what you get on a summer day in California--but you can still go out on the kayaks, play on the beach and many aren't too scared to take a dip. The views are as spectacular if not more so than always.
